When does it make sense to upgrade?
Practice is the step before annual Team scale; Enterprise is for portfolio-wide volume and formal procurement.
Practice works when…
- ✓ You have a small team (up to 6 reviewers)
- ✓ Volume is steady but not high enough for an annual plan
- ✓ You want collaboration features without a long commitment
Team makes sense when…
- ✓ You have 7–30 reviewers or multiple teams
- ✓ Volume is predictable enough to commit annually
- ✓ You want the reduced top-up rate and consolidated billing
Enterprise fits when…
- ✓ You oversee many entities, teams, or regions and need one commercial package (e.g. large corporations, audit firms and government audit offices).
- ✓ Procurement expects SSO, SLAs, security packs, or data residency choices
- ✓ You want included volume and per-review economics matched to the portfolio

Illustrative at from-price / review
Enterprise uses the public from-price per review as an illustration only; your package will be quoted.
If a manual technical review often takes 8 to 40 hours, compare Parallax’s per-review price with your blended hourly cost for that work.
Included in every plan
Same engine: you choose how you buy
You don’t get a “lite” engine on lower plans. The differences are users, organisations, workflow and unit economics.
Review outputs

Coverage
- ✓ IFRS / GRAP checklists + cross-statement ties
- ✓ Ratio/trend anomalies (where available)

Questions we hear a lot
Frequently asked questions
How reviews work
What counts as one review?
One review = one reporting entity, one financial period, one submission. Holding company + three subsidiaries reviewed separately = four reviews. A resubmission after changes to the source PDF = a new review.
How does this compare to the cost of a manual technical review?
A typical technical review can take hours, or days for complex entities. Multiply your internal hourly rate (or blended team cost) by that time and compare it to the per-review price. Parallax is designed to standardise review quality and reduce judgement risk, not just automate formatting.
Plans and pricing
How does Parallax pricing work?
Solo is pay-per-review with no annual fee. Practice is a monthly subscription with a fixed number of included reviews each month, then PAYG excess usage. Team combines an annual fee, a larger bundle of included reviews, then PAYG excess usage at a lower rate. Enterprise uses custom caps, procurement features, and the lowest per-review floor. Figures on this page are indicative; we’ll confirm exact pricing for your situation.
What is the Practice plan?
Practice is a monthly plan for small firms, up to 6 users, who review regularly but don’t want an annual commitment. It includes collaboration features (shared history, assignment, sign-off) and better per-review economics than Solo for steady use.
Can I switch plans mid-year?
Upgrades (Solo to Practice, or either to Team) are self-service in-app and take effect immediately. You are charged only the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period. Downgrades (Team to Practice, or either to Solo) are also self-service and take effect at the end of your current period. Enterprise changes go through us directly.
Can we get a custom cap between Team and Enterprise?
Yes. We can configure a custom arrangement sized to your portfolio and review volume.
Allowances, excess usage, and top-ups
Do unused included reviews carry over?
No. Included reviews reset at the start of each billing period (monthly for Practice, annually for Team). They do not accumulate across periods. If you consistently have headroom, that’s a sign your included volume is well-matched to your workload; if you’re consistently maxing out, a higher plan or top-ups may be more cost-effective.
What happens when we hit the Practice cap?
Additional reviews above your monthly included allowance require a prepaid top-up at R 2,800 per review. Contact us to arrange it; we’ll invoice you and the extra capacity is unlocked once payment is confirmed. If you’re regularly above your included volume, consider Team for better excess usage rates and an annual budget.
What happens when we hit the Team cap?
Additional reviews beyond your annual included allowance require a prepaid top-up before they proceed. Your account manager will raise an invoice for the additional capacity. You’ll get an alert at 80% of your annual cap so you have time to top up before hitting the ceiling. You can also top up proactively at any point during the year.
How does Enterprise handle excess usage?
Enterprise is the only plan where excess usage can be billed in arrears. Your contract defines a base allowance; reviews beyond that are tallied across the billing period and invoiced at the end of it, at your contracted rate. All other plans (Solo, Practice, and Team) require additional capacity to be purchased upfront before the reviews proceed.
Can I buy additional reviews before I need them?
Yes. On any plan you can arrange a top-up in advance, useful if you know a busy period is coming. Top-ups are invoiced upfront. On Solo and Practice, top-up capacity expires at the end of the following calendar month (so a top-up purchased in April is valid until 31 May). On Team, top-up capacity is valid for 12 full calendar months from the date of purchase.
Billing and refunds
What is your refund policy?
Subscription fees: non-refundable once a billing period starts. Cancelling Practice stops renewal at the end of the current month; cancelling Team ends access at the close of the annual period. No pro-rata cash refunds are issued.
Excess usage and per-review charges: non-refundable once a review has completed. A review is a computational event; once the output is generated, the work is done. The exception is a Parallax-side failure. If a review does not complete successfully due to a platform error, the charge is reversed automatically.
Top-ups: cancellable within 48 hours of the invoice date, provided no reviews have been run against the top-up capacity. After that window, or once capacity has been used, top-ups are non-refundable. Unused top-ups that reach their expiry date are non-refundable; the expiry date is stated on the invoice at the time of purchase.
Enterprise: refund terms are set out in your contract.
In exceptional circumstances (business closure, restructuring) we may issue a credit toward future use at our discretion. Contact billing if you believe your situation warrants this.
Platform and compliance
Do you support GRAP? IFRS for SMEs?
GRAP (ASB South Africa) is fully supported, with IFRS for SMEs in active development. US and UK GAAP will follow in a subsequent releases. Enterprise clients can request early release — get in touch.
Is our data secure? Can we use Parallax via API?
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit; we don’t share data between clients or use your statements to train models. Enterprise offers security docs, data residency options, and API access.

Already using Flowkash or PowerLease?
Add Parallax at 20% off your first year on any paid plan when you connect your Orbital Bedrock account. On Practice, that applies to your first 12 months of subscription; on Team, to your first annual term.
